Want to become a baseball umpire?
Several boards (like branches) of the Mass Baseball Umpires Association (MBUA) are holding their training classes for anyone (14+) who wants to become a "patched" baseball umpire.

Successful completion of this course, associated training, and passing the exam qualify an umpire to work amateur baseball games from Little League up to and from including men's baseball leagues. For those over 18, you will have membership into either the NSBUA or GLBUA/MVUA, AND the MBUA (for umpires over the age of 18). This course is open to all candidates over the age of 14. Umpires over the age of 18 are also eligible to work high school baseball in Massachusetts.

The details: North Shore Baseball Umpires Association (NSBUA)Classes on Mondays- 1/22, 1/29, 2/5, 2/12, 2/19 6-8pm at Essex Tech High School, 545 Maple St. Danvers
Note- an intro week on 1/8 has already passed.
$50 fee Total for all sessions - includes rule books and membership into NSBUA/MBUA.

Mechanics Class: 3/11
All 6-7:45 at St. Michael’s School, 80 Maple Ave in North Andover.
Gym Clinic: Tentatively 3/18, Location TBA
Cage Clinic: TBA
Cost: $130 payable by check or cash at first class session
